ABOUT ROBIN TETLOW

Robin Tetlow combines a life-long enthusiasm for walking and exploration with a wider interest in the natural and built environment. He has walked extensively throughout the UK and beyond – including short expeditions to, amongst other places – Nepal, Ethiopia, Egypt, Jordan, Sudan, Morocco, Oman, Sri Lanka, the USA, Turkey, Greece, Crete, Cyprus, Iceland, Spain, the Canary Islands, Italy, the Aeolian Islands, Sicily, the Azores and the Outer Hebrides.

Robin was born and brought up in the Midlands, and subsequently lived in various parts of the UK before settling in Bristol during the 1980s. He is now retired from Tetlow King Planning Ltd, a nationwide town planning consultancy he co-founded in 1985. Robin’s other leisure interests include cricket, photography and music.

The Beyond Bristol books comprise Robin’s 72 favourite walks in the locality based on over 35 years’ experience.

A significant proportion of the sales proceeds from the three books is now directed towards the author’s selected charities – including the Avon Wildlife Trust, Avon Needs Trees, the Woodland Trust, the National Trust, the Ramblers Association and Shelter.

Author, Robin Tetlow
